Loch Tower Symposium

As the general chair of The First International Loch Tower Symposium (LTS'16), it was my great pleasure welcoming attendees at an exclusive location in the heart of the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve. The symposium gathered high-profile researchers from around the globe, including Malaysia, Iran, Germany, and Spain. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the co-organizers of this symposium, without whom this successful event would not have been possible. Please join me thanking the barbacue chair, the sig and kitchen chair, and the being-late-chair. I am looking forward to meeting you all next year at LTS'17!

Surprisingly, the venue chosen for LTS'17 was Loch Tower. Who would have thought?

The symposium received a high number of barbacue submissions but only the top three met the high event standards and could be accepted

The Best Sig Award was announced during the symposium banquett

The event included numerous social events such as picking loads of berries in the forest

Breakfast was complimentary for symposium attendees and symposium crashers

The symposium included an excursion to the competition: the Humberg Tower

The symposium offered plenty of opportunities to look into the bright future of research
